Oakdene Wilmslow.
Was a development located in South Manchester supporting the aspirations of local authority partners, providing high quality, affordable housing within the area.
The scheme produced a landmark project close to Wilmslow centre. Desirable homes created through cost effective quality design and innovation, set within a community that offers vibrant, positive lifestyles. Also offers playing fields and cycling routes that connect to the wider local town network.
Working with our long-term partners at kier Construction for this exciting project, carrying out all Civils works including enabling works, demolition packages, groundworks, substructures, Utilities, slabs and externals. M&O also carried out the external brickwork, cavity insulation and internal blockwork skin on all 56 properties. On completion of the properties M&O finalised the infrastructure works and completed the roads and sewers.
Shrewsbury St – Old Trafford.
Trafford Housing Trust appointed Willmott Dixon for a £20 million contract to transform Shrewsbury Street in Old Trafford.
In one of the region's biggest schemes, Willmott Dixon delivered a mixed-use development that included community centre, bistro café, pharmacy, health care facilities
and 80 extra-care apartments. M&O were chosen for their proven track record and ability to deliver on time and budget.
The extra-care apartments were an important addition to provide people over 55 with high quality accommodation with an emphasis on independent living. In addition,
St Bride’s Church being demolished and rebuilt as part of the redevelopment which seen a public library, a multi-function activity hall, a day nursery and sports changing
rooms.
The Shrewsbury Street project was an integral part of the wider Old Trafford Master Plan being led and delivered by Trafford Housing Trust in partnership with Trafford
Council and the Homes and Communities Agency. The development completed in 2018 and was supported in all elements. M&O worked with our partners at Wilmott
Dixon for this exciting project carrying out all Civils works including enabling works, demolition packages, groundworks, substructures, Utilities, slabs and externals. On
completion of the properties M&O finalised the infrastructure works and completed the roads and sewers.
